Step 1

Ask for an Outline First, Then Expand

Never ask AI to write a full piece in one shot. Ask for an outline, review it, adjust it, then ask it to write section by section. The results are dramatically better.

Step 2

Give the AI Your Writing Style

Paste 2-3 paragraphs of your own writing and say "match this style". The AI will mimic your voice, vocabulary, and sentence length.

Step 3

Tell It What to Avoid

AI tends toward certain bad habits: overly formal language, repetitive phrases ("In conclusion...", "It's worth noting..."), and generic openings. Tell it explicitly what NOT to do.

Step 4

Use AI to Edit, Not Just Generate

The most underused AI writing technique: paste your own draft and ask the AI to improve it. This keeps your voice while fixing the weak parts.

"Find the 3 weakest sentences and suggest stronger alternatives."
"Rewrite the opening so it hooks the reader immediately."

Step 5

Always Add Personal Examples and Edit the Output

AI content needs human finishing. Add personal examples, specific numbers, real opinions, and your own experience. This is what makes it not sound robotic.

→ A personal anecdote or experience
→ Specific data or statistics (verified)
→ Your actual opinion on the topic
→ A specific example only you would know
